What will you build?
Consumables for point-of-care testing
The microfluidic consumable is loaded with biomarkers and reagents with a nanoliter spotting process. After this, the cartridge is bonded with a lid and visually inspected. The bonding process must be gentle, so that biomarkers remain intact
The polymer part is realized by injection molding by a sub-supplier, ensuring repeatable dimensions and a scalable process for large quantities
Microfluidic flow cells
A variety of flow cells is manufactured by Bondus, ranging from polymer flow cells bonded with polymer lids, foils, or glass lids
In addition, some flow cells include an added functionality by integration of for example electrodes or silicon sensor chips directly into the fluidic channels
The microstructured devices can be realized by an injection molding partner, or by in-house CNC micro-machining
Bonded manifolds with integrated valves
Bonded manifolds are efficient distribution blocks for fluids and gasses. The integration of valves into a manifold can lead to increased reliability and robustness, as well as a more compact and cost-effective product
This specific 4-layer manifold contains a variety of valves from Staiger GmbH, included their 5mm diameter 2-way media-separated valves for liquids
The structures are typically CNC machined, but can also be injection molded for higher production quantities
Bonded manifolds can realized with adhesive bonding as well as direct bonding, whichever suits the application best
Droplet generators
Droplet generators require the tiniest junctions in order to generate droplets of microscopic sizes
The injection molded products are supplied to Bondus by a specialized microfluidics molder.
Bondus' direct bonding is employed, so that no adhesive layer thickness remains
